Well done to the Transition Year students who took part in the forged gates project where they studied local forged gates and local blacksmiths. A group of students designed and made a model gate throughout the course of the year. They were also involved in the production of an e-book. Thanks to Emma Laffey for all the work she did with them. The official launch of Galway Forged Gates project will take place in September by Marie Mannion, Galway Heritage Officer.
